News and Events

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

This, then, is the first post (apart from some notices) on our new parish website. I have taken on this task on behalf of the Parish Council as a way of quite simply being of service to whoever I can.  I'm not too sure of my technical abilities for the job of looking after this site on your behalf, but I'm willing to learn on the job, as they say, in the hope that other people will volunteer to help out as best they can too.  There are no technical qualifications, or age qualifcations, or any other qualification required except an interest in the work, and it's hardly work either but a kind of very pleasant and fulfilling pastime.

While there is a website already (http://www.saggartparish.com/), I have been advised by my technical adviser (a Rathcoole man) that this 'blog' format might be the best way to go.  It allows more participation by parishioners for one thing. We'll see how it goes.

So there we are and here goes and looking forward to your active interest and participation.

On behalf of the Parish Council,
Donal McMahon
