Some of the Latest News of our Parish

World Day of Prayer for Vocations
Pope Paul VI instituted the World Day of Prayer for Vocations (the 4th Sunday of Easter) on the 11th April 1964 by saying;

“O Jesus, divine Shepherd of the spirit, you have called the Apostles in order to make them fishermen of men, you still attract to you burning spirits and generous young people, in order to render them your followers and ministers to us” (Pope Paul VI launching the 1st Word Day of Prayer for Vocations)

We pray for all those who dedicate their lives in service of others and the church. In particular we pray for those who may be considering priesthood or religious life.

“Priestly ministry brings satisfaction, again not the satisfaction of security, but the satisfaction of following the path of Jesus which opens to light and hope, the satisfaction of serving others”.
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.

An Invitation from Kilcullen
Kilcullen are hosting a Youth Week April 18th-25th. We would love for parishes in the locality to come along and join in the fun and learning with us. We have a broad range of speakers and activities taking place during the week. Most notably, we have Mr Tom Kendzia (famous church musician and composer) joining us from America on Tuesday 20th April. This workshop, along with others is open to the general public and not just young people or Kilcullen parishioners.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us at 087-1774357 if you would like any info on our Youth Week or would like to book for any of the workshops. We look forward to having you along on our faith journey!
